What a crazy week.....
What a week we had. It just kept coming and things couldn't get worse. It goes like this.....
Dylan saw something in the backyard and decided to go and see what it was. So did the dog (Magnus). As the two of them got closer l soon realized what it was. A SKUNK! The stunk then attacked the dog then jumped off and sprayed the Magnus and Dylan. I freaked. House full of kids. I grabbed them all and went inside. Bathed Dylan in tomatoe juice and then the dog. Went back outside to see if it was still there, and there it was staring me down. I know then something was wrong with it. I called the by law, ministry, MNR anyone l could think of to come a remove this thing which more or less had to be sick. No one does this anymore, that is come and catch them. So we had to take it upon our self to hire a private guy to come and catch it. It lives under the neighbours shed. For about 3 years now. Do you know what it costs to make a stunk lets say.....disappear..... $150.00. That's right. So now we have traps set and no skunk yet. It is tricky l tell you or it just died. The MNR called me back and said that l had to take Dylan to the hospital to get checked out. He informed me that rabies can be spread by the spray. Now l am worried. So off to the hospital we went. Finally result Dylan is okay and we just have to keep an eye on him. As for the dog he is up to date with all his shots and we have to keep him confined to the backyard for 10 days.I tell you what a spell and what a mess.
But that wasn't all the day just got worse and worse. One problem after another. To much to tell. Lets just say l wanted to lock myself in a room and never come out. Days like this are very memorable, but l want to forget. Hopefully a much more relaxed week next week. Hope everyone else is having a great one!
