when will l sleep through the night again?

Is it bad of me to say that l would like to put my 18 month old son Dylan on the curb on garbage day. Sometimes l feel like this. Especially at 2pm in the morning. Man do l love that little man but he has such a problem with sleep. He is now 18 months old and still is up 4 times in the night, and won't go back to sleep. he has been like this since day one and l not think l have had a full night sleep yet.

The problem now is we put him in a toddler bed. So now he just gets up and out when ever his little heart wants. Then slams himself against the door. Full on body slam over and over and over again. The house is a rocking in the middle of the night. neighbours must wonder.

So l had a talk with the husband and l said that l needed his help. I am tired, frusterated and need some support. Understanding he is now helping me in the night with the little man. Dylan woke up at 1:30am an cried till 4am. Yup!. But my husband and l stood at his door and kept telling him it's bedtime, get back in bed, go to sleep. My husband (AG) would then go in and keep putting him back in his bed. This went on over 3 hours almost. Lets just say our house is tired. But l feel if we stick strong and do this for a week this habit (lets cross our fingers) will be over comed. I thank my husband for his help for l would have broke awhile back.

It's so hard. never had this problem with our daughter. but l feel that we were giving in to much and Dylan was knowing this and totally taking adventage of it. Maybe tonight will be a mircle and we will sleep. I pray for sleep.

You can love your kids to death but there are times when you just need a break, and l feel like this now. I think it's called lack of sleep. But then l look at there faces and could kiss them all over. If anyone has any advice a sleeping children l would love to hear it.

Have a great week and wish me luck!
