we did it, we finally did it......
Okay, l know l am a very bad blogger and l haven't posted in days. But life as been really busy and we all know what that is like.
Well AG and l did it. We went to the show tonight.So you are thinking so what! The thing is we hired a babysitter. Yup.....not a family member but a teenage babysitter. This is the first time ever. Alyssa is going to be five in January and this is the first time someone else besides family has watched her and Dylan. Wow. I have always been so nervous. But the awesome part of all this is that our new babysitter lives next store. So if she needed anything her parents are right there. Perfect and that makes me feel a whole lot better.
So we were gone three hours and l called twice. I know. But l just had to check. She said the kids were awesome and went to bed okay for her. Glad to hear that. She said for sure she would do it again. Yahoo. Date night for mom and dad at least once every two weeks for sure. I tell you though it was a pricey night. $60.00 for three hours. I really don't know what the going rate is for babysitting but l gave her $20 for three hours. I think that is okay since the kids were in bed half the time. Anyone know what the rate is these days? Oh well she thought it was great. I am so glad we did this. It is really hard to depend on family all the time and it is so much harder with two kids now. So my stomach is settling....the kids are fast asleep, and all is well in the Kendall household. I know you mothers know exactly what l was feeling. Just had to share my motherly thoughts.
