cottage weekend.......

I tell you what a great weekend we had. Loved the cottage. It was so nice to get away and relax for a bit. Wasn't to sure if it was going to happen for Bancroft was one of the towns that was hit pretty bad by the storm last Wednesday night. So much damage on the way up. Trees down everywhere. Was a bit worried thatthere would be damage at the cottage, but we had power and no trees down or near us. Thank goodness. Didn't want to drive 2 hours with 2 kids and a dog for something that wasn't going to happen.

The weather was perfect and the kids were great, and my husband was wonderful. This weekend made me realize how truly blessed l am with my family. It brought up so many childhood memories for me. My summer months were spent every year up at the cottage. I loved it and Alyssa and Dylan helped me remember them all. I am glad that my children are able to experience what l did and hope that every year AG and l will be able to continue doing this so they have awesome memories like me.

If you ask Alyssa what her favorite thing was she would probably say "frog hunting". She totally impressed me by catching and holding all the little froggies. Great weekend all around. Hope to do it again soon.
